Utas Teppich

This is a family rug for the R.-family of L. A great tree of life with the family on the right and me and my former dog on the left side.

I was especially fascinated by creating as much variations of flowers as possible. The hooked diamond is an East Prussian pattern, which you can see in the Berlin Museum für europäische Kulturen. The border is also inspired by an East Prussian double weave. The thunderbyrd, an Amerikan indian pattern, flying between the diamonds, is the symbol of an old friendship.
